"The Arctic is breaking"
"El Ártico se rompe" is an itinerant exhibition of Obra Social La Caixa based on photographs and videos made by the photographer Andoni Canela during the last few years. In addition to collecting the work of 12 expeditions by all Arctic countries the exhibition contains multimedia, interactive and projections along with original objects of its inhabitants.
This is an innovative and spectacular space of 200 m2 that takes you to the polar ices, designed by Ámbito Cero. It is foldable and it´s transported by two trucks, making its way through various Spanish capitals. The traveling exhibition was launched in 2013; a great tour that will last up to eight years and will pass through more than 100 cities.
We designed the graphic image for the exhibition based on brittle and irregular shapes of the ice breaking. In the design of these graphic panels, this concept applies imitating various morphologies acquired when the ice melts or breaks. The main colors of the exhibition graphics are BLUE, WHITE AND BLACK adding contrast to the image gallery of photographer Andoni Candela.
The use of illustrations in duotone and the specific language used in climatology maps enhances the strength of the content.
The exhibition "El Ártico se rompe" of Obra Social "la Caixa" is itinerant and you will be able to see it over 8 years in different cities of Spain.
